Faculty - Pinkney Herbert:

Pinkney Herbert received his BA from Rhodes College and his MFA from the University of Memphis. He has taught at the Memphis College of Art, the University of Memphis, the University of Tennessee, Helsinki Academy of Fine Arts, Penland School of Crafts and the Memphis University School. Pinkney has been a visiting artist at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, Hanoi University of Fine Arts and the Oberfalzer Kuntzerlerhaus (Germany). He is the founder and director of Marshall Arts, an alternative gallery and studio space in Memphis, Tennessee. Pinkney is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.
